Privacy Policy

Who we are

Project Tidal CIC (“we”, “us”, “our”) is a Community Interest Company registered in England & Wales (Company No. 17253926). We are the “data controller” responsible for any personal data you give us through this website, www.protidal.org.uk. You can reach us at info@protidal.org.uk.

What information we collect

When you use our contact form we collect the details you enter:

We do not create user accounts, and we do not use analytics or advertising trackers, so we do not build a profile of you or follow you across other websites. Please don’t include sensitive personal information (such as health or financial details) in your message.

How we use your information

We use the details from the contact form only to read your message, reply to you, and keep a record of our correspondence in case we need to follow up. Our lawful basis for this is our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries you choose to send us. We will not use your details for marketing or share them with anyone for their own use.

Where your data is stored

Our website, and the messages submitted through it, are hosted by our website provider (Render) on secure servers. Some third-party services we use to make the site work may also process limited technical data, such as your IP address — see the next section.

Third-party services

To display our web fonts we load them from Google Fonts. To show the map on our Contact page we use the Leaflet library (delivered via the unpkg CDN) and map images from OpenStreetMap. When these load, your browser shares its IP address with those providers so the content can be delivered. We don’t control how they use that technical data; please see their own privacy policies for details.

How long we keep your data

We keep contact messages only for as long as we need them to deal with your enquiry and any follow-up, after which we delete them. We review stored messages periodically.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to ask us to give you a copy of the personal data we hold about you, correct it if it’s wrong, delete it, or restrict or object to how we use it. To exercise any of these rights, email us at info@protidal.org.uk and we will respond within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your personal data, you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The “last updated” date at the top shows when it last changed.
